Kuravilangad Panchayat

This report summarizes the projects planned to be implemented in various areas of the panchayat and their financial resources.

1. Key Findings and Financial Summary

Total Projects: A total of 112 projects are included in this plan document.

Total Cost: The total cost of the projects is Rs. 5,83,06,000 ($5.83\text{ crore}$).

Main sources of income: * Plan General Fund: $1,82,70,000\text{Rupees}$

Own Fund: $1,10,11,400\text{Rupees}$

Non-Road Development Fund: $37,76,000\text{Rupees}$

District Allocation: $1,02,00,000\text{Rupees}$

SC Fund: $24,80,000\text{Rupees}$

2. Sector-wise Analysis of Projects

A) Agriculture & Production

A good amount has been allocated in this plan for agricultural and dairy development.

Integrated Crop Management: This is one of the biggest projects in this sector. Rs. 18,00,000 has been allocated for this.

Support to the dairy sector: $8,00,000\text{Rs}$ has been allocated for fodder subsidy and $6,00,000\text{Rs}$ for milk subsidy to dairy farmers.

Other schemes include: Fallowless scheme ($1,25,000\text{Rs}$), Permanent cultivation of banana and vegetables ($3,00,000\text{Rs}$ each), and straw subsidy ($2,50,000\text{Rs}$).

b) Housing & Social Welfare

A large amount has been allocated for housing construction and welfare of backward/disabled sections.

Life Mission Housing Scheme (General): Rs. 32,00,000 has been allocated for this scheme only for the homeless.

House Makeover (General & SC): Rs. 23,00,000\text{ Rs.}$ has been allocated for making the houses of the General category habitable and Rs. 18,00,000\text{ Rs.}$ has been allocated for the SC category.

Disability Welfare: Rs. 17,75,000 has been allocated for scholarships for the differently abled.

Educational Benefits: Rs. 3,09,000\text{ Rs.}$ has been allocated for higher education scholarships for SC students.

c) Women & Child Development

Modern projects have been envisaged for the welfare of women and children.

Happiness Centers: Rs. 5,00,000 each (total $10\text{ Rs. 10 lakhs}$) has been allocated for setting up Happiness Centers for women in Ward 2 and Ward 13.

Self-employment for women: Rs. 5,50,000 has been allocated for purchasing a two-wheeler.

Anganwadi Nutrition: Rs. 13,00,000 has been allocated for child nutrition.

Health: Rs. 10,00,000 has been allocated for palliative care activities.

D) Infrastructure & Roads

A large amount is being spent on re-tarring of roads in the panchayat and other construction activities.

Biggest Project: Rs. 1,00,00,000 (Rs. 1 crore) has been allocated from the district fund for the construction of a new market building. This is the largest project in this plan.

Road Development: A large amount has been allocated for re-tarring, concreting and construction of side walls of major roads in various wards (Wards 1 to 15). For example:

Karyam Perukilamkadu Road Re-tarring (Ward 12) – $10,00,000\text{ Rs}$

Kozha Nadukunnu Road Re-tarring (Ward 5) – $8,00,000\text{ Rs}$

Pillachira Chirathadam Road Re-tarring (Ward 1) – $7,00,000\text{ Rs}$

Other Constructions: $8,00,000\text{ Rs}$ has been made available for renovation of Panchayat Office and $7,00,000\text{ Rs}$ for renovation of P.D. Pol Hall.

Bus Stand Development: Rs. 10,00,000 has been set aside from the Panchayat's own fund for tarring the bus stand.

3. Other notable projects

Disaster Management: Rs. 1,50,000 for the activities of the Disaster Management Force and Committee.

Kuravilangad Panchayat Fest: Rs. 5,00,000 for local associations.

Digital Literacy: Rs. 25,000 for the Digi Kerala 2.0 project.

Stray Dog Control: Rs. 1,50,000 and Rs. 25,000 have been set aside for ABC.

Conclusion

The 2026-27 plan of Kuravilangad Panchayat gives equal importance to the manufacturing sector, housing construction and infrastructure development. This plan makes it possible to properly utilize district funds for large projects and own funds for daily public works.
